Good evening, a man stabbed by young thieves while leaving a Fortitude Valley club is tonight breaking his silence from his hospital bed, sending a powerful message to all Queenslanders.

In an exclusive interview, he tells Nine News how he was very nearly killed in the random attack, one of three that night. A pain worsened by news the teenager arrested is straight

back out on bail. Ryle Morwal bears the physical and mental scars of being stabbed and nearly dying. The emotional part for me is staring up into those lights in the amber. I was really trying

to breathe and it was like, just get me a snap of that for me. Rushed to intensive care with a collapsed lung and internal bleeding on Sunday, the 21 -year -old had been ambushed by a gang wearing balaclavas demanding his gold necklace as

he left the Dirty Salton Bar, one of three people targeted in separate attacks by the same thieves. She hit, popped one on the side and at that point I was going high guard protecting myself

and I'm still in a circle right now getting pumped on it. And in that situation I put my pride to the side because then in the day I don't want my mum crying over my casket. But she very nearly was. It was only when he found police he realised he'd been stabbed.

The police officer stopped me and went, mate, you got a lot of blood in your shirt. Who's that? I did my shirt up and I was just leaking, just leaking and at that point that's when

the shock had set in. Having spent four days in hospital that shock's turned to anger. You are a cold -hearted individual. You are a coward. More or less a coward and you're not tough.

Just one person has been arrested, a 17 -year -old who is already out on bail. Where is the justice? For me and for those other two blokes, it's just... I kind of feel like a slap in the face, you know what I mean?

The police have the opportunity to appeal that and that's something now that the police are focusing on. While Ryle is learning to breathe on his own again, the electrical apprentice wants his

voice heard. Like, what's the print they're doing? If there's no consequences put in place soon, this is going to explode. It'll be life -thrown central. People will no longer go out or feel safe.

Kate Lamb joins us in studio now. Kate, have police made a decision? They have, Melissa. Following a review, I have been told that the Queensland Police Service will not be appealing

the magistrate's decision to grant bail to the 17 -year -old boy. Instead, they'll continue to manage juveniles on bail by conducting extra patrols and compliance checks. Meanwhile, investigators are still trying to track down four other suspects involved

in the weekend's stabbing spree that not only saw Ryle but two other men also hospitalised. Thanks, Kate.
